MASON TO SHRINER

If you hold the title of Master Mason in Freemasonry, you qualify and are invited to join Shriners International. The first step is to fill out a membership inquiry. Once you begin the application process, you will be paired with a virtual mentor who can answer all of your questions, guide you through the petition process and help you get to know members of your local chapter.

Step One - Complete and Submit Form

Complete and Submit the Prospective Candidate Pre-qualification Form. You will be asked to provide basic contact and Masonic Lodge information, and choose which Shriners chapter you prefer to join, determined by your area of residence. Your submitted form will then be directed to Shriners International Headquarters in Tampa, Florida.

Chapter Officer Connects with You

Step Two - Contact from Chapter Officer or Membership Team

A Shriners chapter officer or membership team member will contact you. They will assign a local mentor who will assist you throughout the remainder of the petitioning process.

NOTE: Per Shriners International regulations, all prospective new members will be required to pay a requisite fee (determined by the chapter leadership) and provide proof of current Masonic membership.

Become an Official Candidate

Step Three - Advance from Prospect to Candidate Status

Once the local chapter leaders have received, reviewed and approved all information and materials contained in your application (petition) packet, the chapter’s Shriners will vote on the petition. Once the ballot has cleared, your status will change to “Candidate.” You will be instructed when to attend the Ceremonial (or obligation) ceremony to become a Shriner. CONGRATULATIONS!
